ControlPoint
In the UPnP universe this is the instance that is supposed to interconnect MediaServers with MediaRenderers. It browses the contents of a MediaServer provides and tells a MediaRenderer which MediaServers stream to access. Think of it as a remote control.
This is also the interface where playback control or volume control takes place.
So most of the autonomous MediaRenderers have a (sometimes crippled) ControlPoint included too.
The Inspector includes 'simple' ControlPoint widgets (which could be the base of a full-featured ControlPoint application) to browse the content of MediaServers and control MediaRenderers.
