Coherence Awarded "Special Jury Award" by 5th Annual Trophées du Libre

Trophées du Libre presents awards to innovative open source projects in 7 categories (media, professional, security, administration, sciences, hobbies and education).
This year no less than 125 projects from 35 countries registered for the Trophées du Libre. Strong evidence of the growing importance of this france-based event.

Coherence was selected along with 22 other finalists out of the over 125 projects submitted.

The Trophées du Libre Jury was shown a demonstration of the benefits of running Coherence in a realistic living-room composed of a Sony Playstation 3, a Denon Amplifier 4308, two laptops, an Apple iPod, two Nokia N95 and a Marvell Sheevaplug.
Coherence revealed new ways to use DLNA devices while accessing: local files, iPod's content, remote personal music via Ampache and external content like YouTube, Flickr or Picasa.

Coherence's flawless performance earned it the "Special Jury Award". This prize is the first endorsement from an independent jury of Coherence's vision and marks the start of a broader acceptance of Coherence as a DLNA gateway/sharing platform.

The Coherence team thanks all its contributors and sponsors for making this exciting project possible. We would like to express a special thanks also to Denon France for lending its high-end amplifier and Marvell for its donation of a Sheevaplug.
