iTV MediaServer

"Shoutcast TV" is a package of Internet video streams viewable via Winamp (historically) and VLC.

UPnP ContentDirectory structure

The media are represented in this structure:

  • <Genre1>
    • <Channel A>
    • <Channel B>
    • ...
  • <Genre2>
  • ...

Streams are presented as video/nsv resources.

Configuration

The ITv backend accepts these options:

name:
the name this backend should show up on your UPnP clients, defaults to YouTube
genrelist
URL to the root service URL for the shoutcast server (defaults to http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/newtvlister.phtml?service=winamp2&no_compress=1)
